ABOUT HO, YUENKEI
Ho, Yuenkei was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. A Team Hong Kong Boccia athlete from 2008, she was awarded double gold on BC4 individual and pairs competitions at the Tokyo Asian Youth Para Games. Since 2011, she has been competing in category competition category BC3, instead of BC4, due to muscle problems, and in 2016, she competed at the Rio Paralympic Games with ranked 5th as Hong Kong’s first-ever Boccia athlete in BC3. In 2019, Yuenkei competed the BISFed Asia-Oceania Regional Championships with two gold medal in both BC3 Individual and BC3 Pairs events. In 2020, Yuenkei competed Tokyo Paralympic Games in ranked 4th in BC3 Pairs event. She is currently ranked 1st in the Individual World Ranking List (2022).
Yuenkei graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018. She is also a top 10 Outstanding Warriors of Regeneration in Hong Kong in 2016. Aside from running a committee to promote communion, she is a food blogger of “Wheelchair VS Eating in HK”. It is her honor to be awarded as "Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service" and "Hong Kong Most Promising Sports Stars Awards " in 2019 and "Hong Kong Professional Elite Ladies" in 2021.
Her motto is "As long as you have the abilities, use them and do not limit yourself.". She also does life education in schools, businesses, and communities in Hong Kong.
